The Petit and Hawke families truly appreciate all of the support we have received from our friends, neighbors, and colleagues as we begin this difficult process.  We hope that through the Petit Family Foundation we will be able to overcome evil with good and help to "be the change we wish to see in the world" (Gandhi).  We will continue to pursue our mission:

 

THE PETIT FAMILY FOUNDATION HONORS THE MEMORIES OF JENNIFER HAWKE-PETIT, HAYLEY ELIZABETH PETIT, AND MICHAELA ROSE PETIT BY CONTINUING THE KINDNESS, IDEALISM AND ACTIVISM THAT DEFINED THEIR LIVES.

THE FOUNDATION'S FUNDS ARE GIVEN TO HELP FOSTER THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WOMEN IN THE SCIENCES; TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF THOSE AFFECTED BY CHRONIC ILLNESSES; AND TO SUPPORT EFFORTS TO PROTECT AND HELP THOSE AFFECTED BY VIOLENCE.

Subject: BOYCOTT THIS PORNOGRAPHIC BOOK THAT IS IN CONTEMPT OF COURT

FRIENDS:

This is the illegally obtained book written by one of the defendants who killed Hayley, Michaela and Jennifer. He illegally met with an author in jail before he was caught by your wonderful DOC and released it prior to the trial in Contempt of of the gag order-of course the Judge had a hearing yesterday and ignored it. This allows this animal to give his side of the story without cross-examination or forensics and then causes the other defense to whine that they cannot get a fair trial. Amazon , the author, and McMillan really do not care that an 11 year old and a 17 year old were terrorized while a 48 year old was murdered while she tried to save her children. America the unjust, 26  months later there is no thought of starting the trial. Yes I am angry, and suspect I will get angrier-if you have a minute send an email or call or boycott. Thank you.
