''Together we realize that no man or woman is an island. We know that while we are still sad, we are not alone, and that love, often forged out of sadness, is life's greatest gift to us all."

FRIEND FROM CHESHIRE ACADEMY
A HAIKU

Stolen one summer,
never-ending sadness; still,
thankful for her life.

I always loved her
kind, shy-yet-playful spirit;
I will always cry.

Thirteen this autumn--
growing strong and lovely; or
so we imagine.

Autumn Leaves by Eva Cassidy
(SONGBIRD album)
The falling leaves drift by my window.
The falling leaves are red and gold.
I see your lips, the summer kisses
the sunburned hands, I used to hold.
Since you went away, the days grow long
And soon I'll hear, old winter's song
But I miss you, most of all my darling
when autumn leaves start to fall.

Part of a recycled prayer about healing by Mary Kendrick Moon

"...Teach me to be gentle with myself-to let the tears flow when my eyes
become full, to rest when my body is tired, to seek gentle listening ears
when my spirit is lonely, and to look to you when my soul is empty."
